The staff's warmth and assistance made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. the welcome drink was a lovely touch, and their commitment to showcasing local Indigenous art and culture was inspiring. the Urban Aboriginal Fair Trade Gallery was a captivating space filled with stunning artwork, reflecting the beauty and traditions of Canada's Indigenous peoples. Our cozy room featured indigenous décor and hand-crafted furnishings, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The interactive sessions with professional Indigenous artists were enlightening, allowing us to engage in meaningful discussions and hands-on experiences of Indigenous arts. the rooftop Sweat Lodge was a highlight, symbolizing Mother Nature's embrace and offering a sacred space for purification ceremonies. We also enjoyed exploring Gastown, Vancouver's historical heart, and the nearby attractions like Chinatown and Stanley Park. Skwachàys Lodge not only provided us with top-notch accommodation but also a deeper connection to the local culture and community. the emphasis on inclusivity, sustainability, and supporting Indigenous artists resonated with me as a nature lover and photographer. Overall, our experience at Skwachàys Lodge was enriching and unforgettable, a perfect blend of comfort, culture, and Canadian hospitality.
